Sermon: “From Dirt and Mud to Glory”

Text: Mark 1:4-11
My father loves movies, along with his wonderful sense of humor. On several occasions I have had the opportunity to watch old black and white movies, and by chance, an old-fashioned baptism. The minister in the movie walked down to the river edge, his robe perfectly white. The choir, congregation and baptismal candidates all walking in the bright sunshine, singing and praising God were not far behind.
