Sunday Worship, February 26th – Transfiguration Sunday
Final greetings from central Florida! Tina and I will board the Auto Train at Sanford, FL, tomorrow afternoon for our overnight trip to Lorton, VA, and our drive home to NJ on Saturday morning/afternoon. We’re going to do our best to pack some of this warm Florida air into our trunk to bring north with us 
. We look forward to joining with you at 10:15 AM this Sunday, February 26th, as we observe the final Sunday in the season of Epiphany: Transfiguration Sunday. The penitential season of Lent, which follows Epiphany, will begin on Ash Wednesday, March 1st.
UMCOR begins response to mudslide in Philippines

We have all been deeply touched by the news of the terrible tragedy unfolding in the Philippines. I received this UMNews release this morning indicating that our United Methodist Committee on Relief is providing relief and assistance for the affected area. Please note the ways in which you might provide support to this ongoing effort. And please hold the people of the Philippines in your prayers during this difficult time.

Sunday Worship, February 19th
The Centenary family will gather for worship at 10:15 AM on February 19th…The Seventh Sunday After the Epiphany. Assistant Pastor Terrilisa Durham Bauknight will share a special message with the children, as well as her morning Message, A Promise Is a Promise, based on the readings from 2 Corinthians 1:18-22 and Mark 2:1-12. The women of the Chancel Choir, under the direction of Shirley Mosteller, will present a special anthem during the Offertory. Our Celebration of Found Coins will be designated for the Greater NJ Annual Conference Media Center.

Greetings from Lorton, VA. Tina and I drove down late last night in order to avoid having to deal with snowy roads this morning. After an uneventful and quick trip down I-95, we arrived at our hotel, which is just 1/2 mile from the Auto Train station. We’ll head over there after 11:00 AM and get on board. No snow here yet…as of 8:15 AM…but drizzle in the air and heavy snow anticipated within an hour or so. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you all this weekend as you endure winter’s return.
