Centenary United Methodist Church participates in activities sponsored by the Metuchen-Edison Area Interfaith Clergy Association.

The Metuchen-Edison Area Interfaith Clergy Association is pleased to present its second symposium on: Purity of the Body: Optimum Health as a Religious Duty From the various different Faith Perspectives. The program will take place on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at First Baptist Church — 25 Middlesex Avenue. It will include a Pizza/Salad Dinner, at 6:00 PM . Gathering for the program will begin at 6:30  followed by welcome and introductions at 6:45.

The First Session of Classes will include (A) Judaism and Kashrut – presented by Rabbi Debbie Bravo; (B) Islam and Halal – presented by Imam Moustafa Zayed; and (C) Christianity – presented by Rev. James Miller. At 7:30, the second session will begin, focusing on ”Making Eating a Holy Act” and including (E) Vegetarianism; (F) Food and Ecology. At 8:15 there will be a reception and final thoughts. The dinner is sponsored by the Metuchen-Edison Area Interfaith Clergy Association.
