Music Ministry
It has been a busy year for the Music Ministry with rehearsals and performances by the Chancel Choir, Harris Ringers and Junior Choir. We have sponsored several fund raisers and helped with concerts in our sanctuary. One of those groups, the Edison High School choruses went on to sweep first place in three different categories in a competition!

The past month brought us a wonderfully entertaining Talent Show starring many of our children and youth as well as adults. For those of you who have never attended one of these shows, please consider coming next year. There is always at least one unforgettable act! We had four non-members of the Chancel Choir join the men for a rousing anthem on Men’s Sunday. Thank you, “Manly Men”, for all the hard work you put into learning the piece. There was also a wonderful workshop on worship presented by Marcia McFee. She presented us with many musical ideas that we will include from time to time within our services.
On June 10th the Harris Ringers and the Junior Choir will be presenting pieces during our service. The next Sunday, Father’s Day, will be the Chancel Choir’s last time to sing until fall. This summer we will once again be presenting anthems by various soloists. If anyone is interested in sharing their musical talents with the congregation during worship, please contact Shirley Mosteler.
