Thank you in the name of Jesus Christ for making ministry possible.

Morning Prayer
Dear Lord,
So far I’ve done all right.
I haven’t gossiped, haven’t lost my temper,
haven’t been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish, or overindulgent.
I’m really glad about that.
But in a few minutes, God,
I’m going to get out of bed.
And from then on, I’m going to need a lot more help. – Author Unknown

Prayer for the Week of June 29: It is our duty and delight to give you thanks, O God, and we praise you for providing for our needs in abundance. Out of your gracious hands has come all that we need for daily living. But mostly we give you thanks for the gift of Jesus Christ, your son, our Lord and Savior. In him we have been drawn to you. In his sacrificial love we have glimpsed your redemptive grace poured out for all creation. Your love is deep, mysterious, unfathomable. Help us to receive your great sacrifice for us, your great gift in Jesus Christ, not to understand it, but rather to experience it in the depths of our being. Amen.
Special Thanks: “I want to share a special word of thanks to the entire Centenary Church Family for your support and caring during my recent Renewal Leave. I am grateful to Assistant Pastor Terrilisa Durham Bauknight for her diligent administrative and pastoral care and oversight during the month of June…and through the first two weeks of July. And I am thankful to Chairperson Jodi Mochel and the members of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee for authorizing this time for spiritual reformation. I look forward to returning to full ministry in the congregation on July 13, and to sharing with you the blessings of my ‘time away.’ In Christ’s Love, Pastor John Painter”
