Jee Young Park was named Director of Music Ministry at Centenary United Methodist Church in January, 2011.

Jee Young emerged during the search process for a new Director in the fall of 2010, and after a trial period in December (when she led the Chancel Choir and Harris Ringers through the special music of the Christmas season), she was offered, and accepted, the position. Among  Jee Young’s primary responsibilities will be to direct the Chancel Choir, the Harris Ringers, and the Children’s Choir, as well as assisting in various special events and celebrations.

A resident of Teaneck, Jee Young was born in Korea and came to the US in 1994 to audition for graduate school.  She was accepted at Westminster Choir College in Princeton.  Jee Young and her husband, who is currently the pastor of Teaneck UMC, are proud parents of two sons, Jeremy (14) and Daniel (10).  Jee Young is a “soccer mom” who loves watching her boys play.

Jee Young says that she is “really happy to become part of the CUMC family,”  and welcomes everyone who loves to praise God to join us in the music ministry at Centenary.
