On Saturday October 15th 2011, the Centenary United Methodist Church youth group and adults will be partnering with Orange United Methodist Church in their Feeding the Hungry program for the poor on the streets of Orange and Newark. All are welcome to join. We will be gathering at the church at 11 am and reaching the Orange UMC at 12pm. We will help the church to package the food in plastic containers and then deliver at three different locations. The locations are main street in Orange, Orange Park and Newark Penn station. We finish the program by 2:30 pm and come to the Centenary UMC by 3:30 pm. This is a ministry run by the Orange United Methodist Church for quite a few yrs and has blessed many people in their neighborhood. It is a street ministry designed not only to feed the hungry but also to reach out to the poor and downtrodden of Newark and Orange. The people feed the poor but also pray and talk with them. We need more adults to come to assist the young people but also receive a experience of a lifetime that will transform and change you forever. Please dress casually. The program also needs kids juice boxes if you would like to donate some so we can take some with us. The church address is Orange UMC 287 Park Ave, Orange NJ 07050-4117 and the church phone no is 973 675 6390 and the pastor’s name is Rev. Mark Mc Combs. For further information please call Rev. Anna Thomas at 732 548 7622
